In case you somehow haven’t heard, Formula 1 is coming to Miami this year. Your favorite cars and drivers will be racing for victory on a brand-new street circuit called the Miami International Autodrome, which surrounds the Hard Rock Stadium, in May 2022. Thanks to this new video from Red Bull, we just got our first taste of what the track will look like.
Miami before May 😉 How about a first lap, @SChecoPerez? 🙌 pic.twitter.com/Si3rYueMPk

The team released a minute-long onboard video from inside one of its cars lapping the fully paved—but not quite finished—Miami GP circuit on Tuesday, giving us a first-person view of what sorts of twists and turns the driver will see. With Sergio Perez behind the wheel, we’re treated to a mostly sideways view of what the drivers will see once they set their first laps on May 5.
The circuit is far from finished, obviously. There are no real safety barriers up, and a total lack of curbing and defined runoff areas. Most of the turns are defined by safety cones rather than painted lines. But still, it’s exciting to see. Progress like this means the track will almost certainly be ready for race weekend. We can’t wait.
