2022 Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer: what is it?
It's the longer, bigger-booted estate version of the recently revealed Vauxhall Astra, called the Astra Sports Tourer.
We can see from these images that it'll get the Astra Hatchback's Vizor grille, but also a longer wheelbase and sloping roofline with roof rails finishing with a larger boot.
The camo in these pictures hides much of the design, but the recently revealed Astra is a great looking car, so we're hopeful this estate version will be too.
2022 Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer: what is it powered by?
The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer will likely get the Astra hatch's full range of engines. That would mean petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid and fully electric power.
The petrol and diesel engines range from 110hp to 130hp, while the plug-in hybrids will probably be the same 180hp and 225hp variants. It's not yet known how powerful the EV Astra will be.
All Astra's are front-wheel drive, but you'll have the choice of a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox depending on which model you go for.
2022 Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer: when will it be on sale?
There are no confirmed dates for when the Sports Tourer will be going on sale, but we do know that the Astra hatchback will go on sale in Autumn 2021, with first deliveries happening in early 2022.
We expect the Sports Tourer to be revealed not long afterwards in early 2022.
2022 Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer: how much will it cost?
Vauxhall is yet to release prices for the Astra or Astra Sports Tourer. However, we expect the hatchback to cost from around £22,000, so expect a small premium over this for the Sports Tourer.
