2022 Skoda Scala: what is it?
Skoda’s hatchback is due an update and our spy photographers have caught the car testing in the Alps. Changes to the Scala will likely be light with the main focus being on some updated styling to bring the car in line with newer models.
Looking at the test mule, camouflage on its nose and rear quarters suggest that these are the areas of modification.
2022 Skoda Scala: what is it powered by?
As this is a minor facelift model, we’d expect the engine options to remain untouched. That means things kick off with a 1.0-litre petrol engine utilising 94bhp, but the more powerful 109bhp variant gets the choice of an automatic or manual transmission. There’s also a 1.5-litre engine packing 148bhp with the aforementioned gearbox options.
2022 Skoda Scala: when will it be on sale?
This car looks pretty close to being signed off to us, so we’d expect to see an updated Scala revealed any time soon. Cars might start to arrive before the year is out, but the bulk of deliveries will likely be in 2022.
