Three names are on the shortlist to replace Nikita Mazepin at Haas for the upcoming Formula 1 season.
The Russian driver saw his contract terminated last week over the continued Russian invasion of Ukraine and that now means he won’t be driving for Haas this season.
The team needs to find a replacement for Mick Schumacher quickly, then, and apparently three names are in the frame for the seat.
According to the BBC, Pietro Fittipaldi, Oscar Piastri and Jehan Daruvala are the three drivers pushing for a chance in Formula 1.
Fittipaldi is the current Haas reserve driver and is expected to at least drive for the team in testing this weekend in Bahrain, so that might give him an extra advantage in the battle.

Alpine reserve driver and current Formula 2 champion Oscar Piastri could be a popular choice, too, with him perhaps unlucky to not have already been offered a chance.
And, finally, Daruvala is set to compete in F2 once again currently this season, with him backed by Red Bull as part of their driver academy.
