Skoda Slavia now available at dealerships; India launch next month
After launching the Kodiaq facelift, Skoda Auto India is gearing up to launch its second vehicle for 2022. The Czech brand will add Slavia to its portfolio here in March and has been accepting bookings for the midsize sedan for a while now. Ahead of its India launch, the Skoda Slavia has now started reaching dealerships in the country and will be officially available on display for customers. Slavia’s test drives, however, will commence next month, as noted by the carmaker. Skoda Slavia will be the company’s replacement for Rapid and will be a rival to the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, and more.

Skoda Slavia is based on the same platform that underpins Kushaq SUV and will be available with a choice between two petrol engines. The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine will make 113 bhp with 175 Nm and will be available with a choice between a six-speed manual gearbox and six-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, on the other hand, will have 148 bhp with 250 Nm on tap. This powerplant will be available with a choice between a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed DSG automatic unit.
And as for features, the Slavia will come equipped with provisions such as a 10-inch touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, automatic AC, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, sunroof, cruise control, six airbags, electronic stability control, etc.
