The Nexon Coupe will be offered in petrol and diesel guise as well.
The Tata Nexon range which includes the petrol, diesel and EV versions of the crossover, is set to expand with the addition of three new iterations. According to a media report, the Nexon Coupe will debut in 2023 in pure EV form. It will be followed by the petrol and diesel versions.
The Nexon Coupe will be based on the X1 platform. Compared to the current model, the wheelbase of the coupe is expected to be increased by 50 mm. The SUV will also have a unique design and a larger boot.
The all-electric version could use the same Ziptron powertrain as the current Nexon EV. Perhaps it could get the larger 40 kW battery pack and a more powerful electric motor that is likely to be introduced on the Nexon EV in the near future.
The report also states that the Nexon Coupe will be offered in petrol and diesel guise. The car could use Tata’s new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that is said to pack 158 BHP and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
