A new trademark filing Stellantis has place with the U.S. patent office may point to the name for the company’s upcoming electric pickup truck : Ram Revolution.
The trademark on the name was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) at the end of January, reports CarBuzz , and is meant to apply to motor vehicles in the passenger truck segment. However, not included in the filing was any sort of logo or font the name might be worked into—Stellantis trademarked only the term itself.
From what we know so far, Stellantis plans to bring its Ram EV to market in 2024, a little behind some of its rivals. The pickup should ride on the new STLA frame platform and, as teasers like the one above show, wear quite a Revolution-ary new styling language, too.
Of course, not every trademark a manufacturer files ends up hitting production, or landing in the way we expect. That is to say, we won’t be surprised if Ram goes another direction instead with its new pickup’s name. But for now, all we can say is, a rEVolution seems to be on the table.
