PENANG: Proton has added yet another 3S (sales, service and spare parts) centre to its list of outlet upgrades and its doors have officially opened in Penang.
The new outlet, operated by Top Zone Auto Gallery Sdn Bhd., required approximately RM1.5mil to upgrade from its initial 2S facility and now sport a new facade that’s inline with Proton’s requirements, while being manned by 10 sales and 10 service personnel.
In terms of location, it is nestled within the newly developed township of Sungai Dua, Butterworth – just two minutes away from the North-South Expressway (North-bound), at 51-59, Jalan Sungai Dua Utama 1.
Its operating hours for sales is from 8am to 8pm from Monday to Saturday (9am to 5.15pm on Sunday), while Service operates from 8am to 5.15pm from Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sunday.
For convenience, the new outlet has been equipped with free Wifi, an internaet corner with charging ports, 15 seats as well as a coffee and lounge area.
At the rear of the outlet, the service area has been equipped with five bays and five hoists.
The upgraded outlet is anticipated to increase service throughput by 25%, Outlet location.
As at Aug 31, there were 100 outlets approved for 3S/4S status – approximately 92% achieved against a targeted 109 outlets by October this year.
Also, Proton has announced that it will absorb the Sales and Service Tax (SST) for all its models this September with discounts ranging from RM500 to RM1,000 for its Saga, Iriz and Persona and RM2,000 for the recently launched Proton Ertiga Xtra with new seat covers and a new touchscreen head unit.
