The all-new 6th generation of the Opel Corsa will be available from all Opel dealerships in South Africa from mid-January.
At launch, the Corsa Edition will be the only trim-line available – and is fitted with a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 55kW of power.
Its starting price is R289,900.
It is worth noting, however, that two more variants will be introduced “in the successive months” locally, said the company.
The interior design was created with a focus on functionality and features a driver-oriented instrument panel.
This new generation that is replacing the outgoing model will have roughly the same size – at 4.06m in length – but will shave off around 10% in weight.
This results in a a curb weight of 980kg and a boot capacity of up to 309 litres.
“The new Corsa makes every drive connected, secure, and comfortable with a wide array of class-leading tech features and a variety of driver assistance safety systems.”
