Sunday afternoon rain forced postponement of the conclusion of the DuraMAX Drydene 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway to Monday at noon (ET). The race will be televised on FS1.
The field had completed 78 laps when showers moved in from the west and forced a red flag. The late-afternoon start and the fact that the track does not have lights left little room to resume competition as rain continued to keep the race cars under cover.
Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney were running one-two-three when the race was stopped.
Denny Hamlin led 55 of the first 78 laps but was eighth at the red flag.
So, with the race still hanging in the balance, here’s a look around the garages from the weekend (so far) at Dover:
Uncertainty about Kyle Busch’s future
After Kyle Busch appeared to question the progress of contract negotiations the previous week, he remained cryptic at Dover about whether he will remain at JGR next season.
Asked if there were any discussions with JGR and Toyota after his earlier comments, Busch said, “Yeah, there were some discussions and such.” Beyond that, he said, “There is nothing to elaborate on. It’s all good.”
Busch wore a “Clickbait” T-shirt to his Dover media availability.

Tickets for Memaw
As if keeping up with all those watermelons isn’t enough, now two-time race winner Ross Chastain has to worry about his Memaw.
Chastain says his grandmother has announced that she wants to attend a concert featuring rapper Pitbull, one of the Trackhouse Racing team’s co-owners. “She is on me this week, like, ‘I want to go,’ ” Chastain said. “I got to get them tickets or something.”
Pitbull’s Can Stop Us Now tour is scheduled to start in July.
Buescher Scores First Pole
Chris Buescher finally put a checkmark in a key statistical column. He scored a Cup pole for the first time in qualifying at Dover.
Sunday’s race was Buescher’s 233rd Cup start.
Turn Back Time
The Cup Series moves on to Darlington Raceway this week for the annual Cup “throwback” race. Many of the entries will sport paint schemes designed to echo famous cars from earlier years.
Berry Good in Xfinity Race
Josh Berry gained a position and won a race.
Berry finished second at Dover last year but won Saturday’s A-Game 200 Xfinity Series race. He outran JR Motorsports teammate Justin Allgaier by .604 of a second.
The win is Berry’s first of the season.
