The Indian FTR1200 surprised and impressed when it was it was launched last year, its flat-track inspired neo-retro styling shrouding a peppy and massively engaging ride, as opposed to the typically lazy cruisers found in the same segment.
It’s already a hugely customisable machine from dealer level but Indian has recently been drip-feeding a few variants to whet customer appetites. First we had the all-singing, all-dancing FTR Carbon, which is absolutely dripping with flashy tech but boasts an asking price tom are most wallets run for the hills.
New for 2020 is this FTR Rally version, which packs Titanium Smoke paint with the Indian Motorcycle headdress logo, aluminium wire wheels with red pinstripe, a brown aviator seat, a new rally windscreen and Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires for that “go any where” look.

Thankfully, the same brilliantly powerful 1203cc V-twin engine resides, with its smooth power delivery and loads of low-end punch. As a reminder, the engine produces 125bhp and 120 Nm of torque. Expect to part with £12,149 to ensure your Indian FTR looks good among the various retro scramblers now offered by numerous manufacturers.
