Citroen bins on-road costs as $2000 increases hit MY22 MG and Isuzu vehicles
Citroen is continuing to offer some attractive drive-away deals on MY21-plated vehicles in an attempt to clear lingering 2021 stock.
This week it’s the high-end 2021 Citroen C5 Aircross Shine automatic that’s up for grabs from $46,990 drive-away, meaning Citroen is kindly taking care of several grand’s worth of on-road statutory costs.
With the facelifted version currently under evaluation for Australia, the chances of the C5 Aircross’s asking price going up in coming months is reasonably high, given the extra toys on offer in the new one, so now might be a good time to snap up this European SUV if you don’t need/want the very latest model.
While it remains to be seen whether the facelifted C5 Aircross arrives in Australia, the 2022 MG model portfolio is already knocking on the door, along with a blanket price increase of $2000.
This then could be your last chance to take advantage of the Chinese brand’s run-out deal; offering the MY21 MG3 Core automatic plus a mystery gift item for $18,490 drive-away – just $1000 more than the list price.

MG says its MY22 prices have increased by $2000 due to the rising cost of raw materials and increasingly complicated shipping logistics, rather than a significant model update or spec change.
Speaking of price increases, the promotional pricing of the flagship 2022 Isuzu D-MAX X-TERRAIN has also risen by $2000, with the brand also citing mounting production and transport costs, this time ex-Thailand.

As a result, the top-spec D-MAX can now be had from $64,990 drive-away, but according to some dealers customers could be waiting up to eight months for their new car.
The price increase came into effect as of April 1, but those who had already submitted their vehicle order before March 31 will still receive their hero ute for the previous price of $62,900 drive-away – much better than the new list price of $65,900 plus on-roads.
