Police in Brampton, Ontario, have arrested a tow truck driver and charged him with dangerous driving, racing a motor vehicle, running a red light, failing to signal, and more after dash cam footage of a white dually GMC pickup doing all the wrong things in multiple intersections was shared online.
The video was initially posted to Youtube and Reddit, but the Peel Police’s Road Safety Service division was also happy to retweet the misbehaviour after it had had a chance to go viral and their officers had had a chance to visit the 31-year-old driver.
Tow Truck driver and drivers in general! Please be aware that drivers now have cameras in their vehicle’s and have no issues sharing their footage with with Police..

In the video, the driver first overtakes multiple vehicles while moving into oncoming traffic and through an intersection. At another set of lights, after coming to a stop way over the crosswalk, he seemingly becomes disinterested in waiting and darts out through the red light and into the flow of traffic.
The Tweet warns “tow Truck driver and drivers in general” that police can and will review privately shot cam footage shared with them by other drivers. Police confirm that the driver was arrested following a “thorough investigation.”
So keep those cameras rolling, all you good drivers out there. And if you catch something as dangerous and obnoxious as this, consider sending a copy over to your local constabulary.
