Police near Castlegar, British Columbia recently stopped a vehicle so unsightly and unfit for roads that it left them entirely without words.
Posted to the BC Highway Patrol’s Twitter account without any caption whatsoever, the photo features a farm truck of extraordinary proportions. The little flatbed, which was pulled off of Hwy 3 on April 14, has no doors on either side, no passenger seats, no seatbelts, almost no body left, half of a tire where the licence plate should be, and no back to the cabin.
Kudos to the mad individual who kept this thing running, but shame on whoever thought it was an appropriate way to pick up the kids from school, which is where this driver was headed, according to CTV News. Obvious safety issues aside, imagine the emotional scars you’d bear if your parents had shown up in front of your school in this chaotic contraption!
The attending officer seemed to find his words a little later, adding via a comment, “Road Warrior reference perhaps? I was so speechless I didn’t bother with a caption.”
Still, the shocking sight didn’t render police’s ticket-writing fingers useless. They permanently removed the vehicle from the road and issued the driver a handful of citations for driving without insurance or a licence, operating a defective vehicle, and operating a vehicle without seatbelts.
