The second-generation Perodua Myvi is about to be facelifted with Perodua confirming that order taking commences today ahead of its launch confirmed for 15 January.
The existing options of 1.3- and 1.5-litre engines, retained from the pre-facelift model, are maintained, each in turn with a choice of two variants; in each case, the lower version of two trims have a choice between manual and automatic transmissions whilst the higher grade is auto only.
These permutations add up to a total of six variants – 1.3 Standard G (M/T & A/T), 1.3 Premium X (A/T), 1.5 SE (M/T & A/T), and 1.5 Advance (A/T). Pricing will range from RM41,500 to RM58,900.
Depending on variant, equipment levels vary to include projector headlamps (1.5 only), front parking sensors (1.3 X upwards), multimedia navigator with reverse camera (Advance only), security window film (1.5 only), and the famous anti-snatch hook that was introduced in the Axia.
Perodua President and CEO, Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh highlights that the new and improved Myvi adds RM3,800 worth of value to its package. Most crucial enhancement is perhaps its revised body structure that is claimed to improve its frontal impact performance and raise its ASEAN NCAP rating to four stars. Other safety features include dual airbags and anti-lock braking system, the latter fitted only in the 1.3 X and both 1.5-litre variants.
