A teaser of the FW44 which will contest the 2022 season for Williams.
It is hard to believe that the Williams team that was in such disarray at the start of the 2019 season that it missed the first two days of testing managed to score a fluke podium in the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix with talent George Russell piloting the challenger.
With the Briton behind the wheel it was a perfect storm of events (excuse the pun) after torrential downpour turned the qualifying session upside down with Russell managing to land the lower order car on the front row for the start of the race. The farcical race session was conducted solely behind the safety car so drivers just had to keep it on the black stuff to hold their position which Russell did, scoring his maiden podium.
Recent form has shown the former title challenging team which boasted the likes of Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost has redeemed itself from its stricken state and while it may not be contesting podiums on race weekends, it is back to a semblance of what many remember Frank Williams outfit to be, scoring occasional points.
This time around, former Red Bull Racing rookie Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi will be commanding the latest product from the city of Wantage for the 2022 season. While Latifi has been with the team for two years, Albon, after a one year absence will have to get familiar with the travelling circus once again after his short lived stint as Max Verstappen’s teammate was cut short by poor performances and he was ousted from the sport. Now watch Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi reveal the Williams FW44 challenger for the 2022 season after it was teased on social media.
