Alpha Motor Corporation has unveiled the new Electric Jax, the U.S. automotive company’s crossover utility vehicle built on a shared electric platform with the Alpha ACE four wheel drive vehicle. JAX, which stands for ‘Junior All-terrain Crossover’, is a utility vehicle for 4 passengers.
It comes in a four-wheel drive (4WD) or front-wheel drive (FWD) system with a towing capacity of 839kg (1850lbs) and acceleration of zero to sixty in 6.5 seconds. The vehicle is intended to be equipped with a 75Kwh Lithium-Ion battery with an estimated 250 miles of range.
It also features several advanced interior features, including a driver-centric digital speedometer, a digital center display, ergonomically bolstered seating, and audio speakers, all designed for replaceability.
In a press releases, Alpha states: ‘JAX™ strongly demonstrates the range and versatility of the Alpha ACE™ product line, and is designed for consumers looking for solid four-wheel drive performance without the carbon emissions. More importantly, it represents Alpha’s commitment to move humanity with innovations in electric vehicle modularity, customization flexibility, and practicality’.
California-based Alpha Motor Corporation had also recently previewed ICON, an affordable zero emission electric vehicle that comes with modular utility functions, featuring multiple vehicle variants including a camper truck, a commercial work truck, and multi-purpose delivery truck.
