Want your Maruti Suzuki Swift to look sportier but want to bring down the running costs? Here is a solution
Maruti Suzuki Swift, one of the brand’s best-sellers for a long time, delivers a fine combination of comfort and power and VFM pricing. However, in a bid to get a car to suit their needs, enthusiasts attempt various and unique mods to their vehicles.
We have seen a number of modified Swifts in India. Here is a unique modified Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport that runs on CNG.
What Makes It Special?
A number of updates have been made to this car, all inspired by the international-spec Swift Sport
For starters, the front-end simply stands out. The stock bumpers and the grille have been replaced with the ones seen on the international-spec Swift Sport. In addition to this, sporty projector headlamps along with projector HID fog lamps have been added to the front.
At the rear, the stock tail lights have been replaced with Taiwan-made lights and the car gets a massive air spoiler on the roof while the rear bumpers look as aggressive as the front ones.
The front bumpers too have been replaced with those seen on the Swift Sport
Inside the cabin, the seats are plusher now with added foam and brown upholstery and in addition to that, it features Infinity Audio System with Subwoofer in the boot. The car gets an aftermarket digital instrument cluster, new steering with multi-function buttons, and aluminium inserts on the dashboard giving a premium feel to the cabin.
CNG kit and owner’s experience
This Maruti Swift Sport is special and comes with a CNG kit that makes it extremely economical to run
As mentioned by the owner, he retrofitted a BSVI model Swift LXI with an aftermarket CNG kit and endorsing CNG on a BSVI model is no joke. However, after a detailed and tiring process, he legally got the CNG endorsed on paper. The owner confirmed that his converted Swift Sport returns around 180km of range after filling INR 400 worth of CNG, which is quite impressive.
Should you get CNG with the Swift?
The yellow colour might not be appreciated by all but does help it stand out from the crowd
Maruti Suzuki does not offer a factory-fitted CNG kit with the Swift. But there are many other cars from the manufacturer that offer company-installed kits and they are much better integrated to the vehicle. You can get the complete list by clicking here.
Getting your car retrofitted with a CNG kit makes sense if you have higher annual running given rising fuel prices.
However, owners should take care of a few things like getting a good sequential kit and getting it done from a good installer. Owners should ensure timely regular service of their car in order to have seamless and a tireless experience with their car.
