Spoiler alert: The number is less than many of your favorite SUVs
A few days ago, we brought to you the top speed test of the MV Agusta F3 800 RC and now, the bike’s owner YouTuber Ayush Verma has answered the age-old yet very relevant question – ‘Kitna Deti Hai?’
Here’s a lowdown on just how efficient or not, this mad motorcycle really is.
MV Agusta F3 800 RC Mileage Test
This mileage test was performed by YouTuber Ayush Verma who starts by filling up the motorcycle to the brim
Like any mileage test, the theory here is to tank it up, set the trip meter to zero, ride around for some time, and then fill it up again to check how much fuel the bike chugged.
Accordingly, the video starts off with the rider filling the fuel tank to the brim and then going for a quick ride (literally) with his buddies. Then, after riding around for nearly two days, the rider returns to the fuel station, with a trip meter reading of 195.3km, where the bike gallops 15.63-liter of fuel.
Ultimately ending up at a fuel station to see how much fuel the bike chugged during all this riding
The mileage? Well, an astonishing 12.49km per liter! Yes, the MV Agusta F3 800 RC returned an efficiency of JUST 12.49kmpl, that’s even lower than cars like the Hyundai Creta.
Then, he also rides the motorcycle in the city for a few kilometers
But there are a few noteworthy things here. Firstly, this wasn’t really your ideal mileage test where a rider rides around in the city at average speeds to find out the peak mileage. Instead, the video shows the rider repeatedly breaching past speeds of over 200kmph, which is surely not the engine’s most efficient state.
Additionally, the rider is also seen riding around at city speeds which, again, is not ideal for a motorcycle of this caliber. We believe the bike would be most efficient when ridden constantly at around 120kmph.
Ever wondered how fuel-efficient an MV Agusta F3 is? Then. it’s your lucky day because here’s the answer
Finally, we should also mention that bikes like the MV Agusta F3 800 RC are not meant to be fuel-efficient or be ridden around in the city, to begin with.
Nevertheless, the YouTuber insists that even if he did ride around with a sensible right hand, he expects the bike to return a maximum of 16-17kmpl, which is actually pretty decent for such a raspy sportbike.
What Did We Learn?
Well, mainly that superbikes are not everyone’s cup of tea and even if you do somehow cope with the initial buying cost, you still need a constant inflow of cash to ride them on a regular basis.
Not to mention, the fuel prices are at an all-time high at the moment, which only makes matter worse for the owner.
