This custom four-Seater Innova with a lounge-like seating is a luxury cruiser on a budget
Despite the arrival of the new-generation Innova Crysta in 2016, the first-generation Toyota Innova still commands immense demand in the used car market. The first-gen Innova has a solid reputation for being a bullet-proof reliable and comfortable vehicle, which can last for years if proper care is taken through regular periodic servicing.
Several Innova owners in India have customized their Innovas by modifying the cabin to make it look like premium lounges. Here is one such first-generation Toyota Innova customized by a Delhi-based firm named ‘Auto Trade’.
The complete details of this customized Toyota Innova are explained in a YouTube video from the channel of Speedy Singh. At the first glance, this grey-coloured Toyota Innova looks like a regular version of the MPV. It gets no changes on the outside, save for the roof-mounted body-coloured spoiler. However, the actual visual drama begins once you open the rear doors of this Innova. On doing this, one is welcomed by a completely transformed rear cabin, which looks nothing short of a premium lounge for two people.
A brand-new cabin like no other
This customized Toyota Innova gets a completely transformed cabin, in which the second and third row of seats are replaced by two recliner seats, one each for two occupants in the rear. This entire cabin is finished in a theme of matte beige, with an extensive amount of faux wood inserts and piano black touches at various places.
The cabin of the Innova gets a partition in the middle, which separates the rear cabin of the MPV from its front two seats. This partition looks wide, with the upper half accommodating a 32-inch Sony Android TV with a Wi-Fi router. This upper housing is finished in a theme of gloss black and gets vertically-aligned grab handles finished in faux wood. The lower part of the partition accommodates electrically foldable jump seats for small kids and two AC blowers in the middle.
The star highlights of this cabin happen to be the two 6-way powered recliner seats, which can recline up to an angle of 160 degrees. These seats are finished in beige-coloured artificial leather and get custom-fit armrests with cup holders on either side of them. Between the two seats, there is a partition with its front part having an inclined panel housing several controls.
It also gets a massive panel in the middle
This panel has buttons for adjusting recline angle of seats, jump seats and footrests, sliding operation of seats, two USB charging sockets, a conversation button to connect to the driver at the front and ambient lighting. This partition also houses a wireless charger, two cup holders and an openable armrest, which has a storage space underneath it.
Gets premium Alcantara
Premium Alantara material is used
The roof of the cabin is wrapped in Alcantara fabric and gets repositioned AC vents and a slim faux-wood finished partition, which gets ambient light strips. The cabin of this customized Innova also features ambient lighting, a 7.5-litre cooled box, two small jump seats for kids, brown-coloured soft floor mats and a premium Harman audio system with a four-channel amplifier. The boot compartment of this customized Innova is equipped with components of an audio system, boot mat and an air purifier.
There is a partition between the cabin and the driver
The overall customization work of this customized Toyota Innova took 25 days, while the overall cost of this work has a starting price of Rs 5.95 lakh. What do you think about
