Classic Legends has updated its entire portfolio and introduced the Jawa 42 2.1 in India. The updated model gets a handful of cosmetic upgrades and subtle mechanical updates.

Design
Ir gets tubeless tyres as standard
The updated Jawa 42 has received subtle cosmetic changes, but the overall design and ergonomics have remained unchanged. The Jawa 42 version 2.1 gets an all-dark black theme. The engine, front fork covers, suspension springs at the rear, and dual exhaust canisters get a black finish. The black fuel tank gets an offset racing stripe running through the side panels.
The motorcycle gets bar end mirrors as standard, which takes place of the conventional mirrors. The Jawa 42 version 2.1 now features an alloy wheel as standard instead of the wire-spoke wheels. The addition of the alloy wheels also means that the updated 42 is also available with tubeless tyres.

The motorcycle sports an all-black theme
The Jawa 42 version 2.1 gets three colour options – All-star Black, Sirus White, and Orion Red.

Mechanically the bike remains unaltered. The 2021 Jawa 42 gets a BS6 compliant 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that promises 27bhp of peak power and 27Nm of peak torque. This sporty powertrain is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear springs. Classic Legends said they reworked the suspension setup to achieve better ground clearance. A single disc brake at both ends takes care of the braking. The motorcycle gets a dual-channel ABS as standard.
Price
But the engine now produces 1 ps more than its predecessor
Price of the Jawa 42 version 2.1 starts at Rs 1,91,142 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Jawa 42 rivals the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda Highness CB350.
