These custom Vintage Scrambler’s feature aftermarket accessories, free-flow exhaust and weigh 10 kg less than the stock Interceptor
Royal Enfield Interceptor has become the most preferred platform for many custom bike builders across the country for its simple design and construction.
We have covered a couple of exciting custom RE bikes earlier, but these latest custom Interceptor 650s from the state of Uttar Pradesh will draw your attention. The two custom Interceptor 650 bikes showcased in this video features an old-school Scrambler appearance.
Here are all the details that you need about these custom Scramblers.

- There are no mechanical changes made to these custom motorcycles
Both the custom Interceptor scramblers feature a wide range of aftermarket accessories. For starters, these custom Scrambler’s gets vintage Balloon tyres of similar sizes both at the front and rear profile. The fatter sidewalls of the tyre give a rugged appearance to both these custom bikes.
- Both the custom Scrambler’s engine, suspension, and other parts have been blacked out to add a stealthy appearance.
- The stock headlamp, side turn indicators, and taillamp of the motorcycle are replaced with aftermarket units.
- The highlight of these black-themed custom scramblers is the placement of the twin-pod instrument cluster. The custom bike builder has decided to keep the front appearance of the bike clean and thus positioned the instrument cluster towards the side of the bike, beside the fuel tank area.
- The tank plate and the custom paint job too complement the rugged and stealthy appearance of the custom Interceptor.
- The stock twin exhaust of the motorcycles are replaced with a free-flow exhaust system. With all these updates, the custom bike builder claims that these custom bikes are at least 10-12 kilograms lighter than the stock Interceptor.
- Lastly, these custom Scramblers also get a chopped tail section and ribbed leather seats to gel with the overall Scrambler design.
The second bike featured in the video also has similar styling to the first one but a different red and black paint scheme along with a few additional leather accessories including, leather straps on the fuel tank and leather bags towards the side profile to add a slightly more premium appeal.
Besides these cosmetic changes, there are no mechanical changes made to these motorcycles. The Custom Interceptor Scrambler uses the same stock 648 cc, single-cylinder, air-oil cooled, parallel-twin engine. The Interceptor 650 produces around 47.65 PS of peak power at 7,150 pm and 52 Nm of peak torque at 5,250 rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.
The Custom bike builder charges Rs 2 lakh and takes around two months to build these custom bikes from the donor’s stock Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
