The upcoming road-focused Scram 411 will be more affordable than the Himalayan and will rival the Yezdi Scrambler
After much anticipation,Royal Enfield will launch the Scram 411 in India tomorrow, 15th March. But you don’t have to wait till tomorrow to get a first exclusive look as these images of the bike by Rushlane.com give us a detailed look at the bike.
The Scram is a road-biased version of the Himalayan adventure tourer, and it will target those buyers looking for a motorcycle for extensive use on the tarmac. The soon-to-be-launched Royal Enfield Scram 411 will likely cost less than the Himalayan.
Here is what we know about the 2022 Royal Enfield Scram 411.
The Scram shares most of its underpinnings with the Himalayan, so you will notice that the fuel tank, side panels, and fenders look identical.
First look
From the image, it is evident that the upcoming Scram 411 does not look too purposeful like its bigger sibling, the bike appears more absorbing and will help attract the attention of young riders with the use of dual-tone colours.

The Scram misses out on the tall windscreen, the second fender, the rear luggage rack, and even the metal tank brace. So we believe that it will also be lighter than its bigger sibling by a few kilograms.
So What is new?
The Scram boasts a neat-looking round headlamp cowl that makes the front profile look less complicated. It also features a plate on the side of the fuel tank with ’Royal Enfield’ engraved on it. Last but not least, it features a single-piece seat which looks more comfortable than the split seats of the Himalayan.
The substantial change comes in the form of smaller wired spoke wheels at the front instead of the offroad focused 21-inch wheels, which have also helped lower the seat height.
and will sport a different offset instrument cluster
The Scram 411 will sport almost the same features as the Himalayan. However, instead of the standard instrument cluster of the Himalayan, the Scram 411 will feature an offset speedometer (lifted straight from the Meteor 350), the top-spec Scram will also feature the Tripper navigation.
Any change on the power figures?
and appears like a stripped-down Himalayan
Powering the Scram 411 is the same 411 cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC fuel-injected engine from the Himalayan. The power figures are expected to be the same as the Himalayan, which offers 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm of peak torque.
Expected Prices
The Scram 411 will be positioned lower than the Himalayan 411 and will likely retail at around Rs 2 lakh mark (the Himalayan starts at Rs 2.14 Lakhs).
