Bajaj Auto is known for its value for money products, and their recently launched Pulsar 250 twins have drawn a lot of attention. The Pulsar 250 twins are the most affordable 250cc motorcycles you can buy in the country. In this video, you can watch the Pulsar N250 taking on the new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
TVS Motors has made a couple of changes to the updated Apache RTR 200 4V, and it now features four valves and even different ride modes, which is quite unusual for a bike of this segment. Who do you think has a better chance of winning this high-performance drag race?
The Contenders
The Pune based two-wheeler maker made quite a headline when it launched the Pulsar 250 twins in India
The Bajaj Pulsar N250 uses a newly developed 249.07 cc, Single cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC, 2 Valve, oil-cooled, Fuel injected engine. The Pulsar N250 churns out about 24.5 PS of peak power at 8,750 rpm and 21.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, on the other hand, uses a 197.75 cc, Single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, oil-cooled engine. The Apache 200 4V produces about 20.82 PS of peak power at 8,500 rpm and 16.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

Both the bikers set off on the mark on three honks. The Pulsar N250 takes the lead because it offers more power and torque than its rival here. But the Apache RTR 200 4V did not disappoint either. The TVS Apache 200 4V touched a speedo indicated top speed of 141 kmph. But the Pulsar N250 won the drag race at the end.

The presenter swapped his Pulsar N250 with the Apache RTR 200 4V. The riders once again set off on the mark of three honks. Both the bikes had a perfect launch, but the N250 took the lead. The Apache touched a speedo indicated top speed of 145 kmph while the Pulsar N250 touched 148 kmph. The Pulsar N250 won the second drag race with flying colors.

The Bajaj Pulsar N250 gets a bigger displacement and more power and torque on tap. So it has a better initial and top-end performance which helped it win the race.
The Apache RTR 200 4V is a more technologically advanced bike than its rival. It gets a couple of riding modes (Rain, Urban, and Sport) which adjusts the power output and throttle response. Unfortunately, the Apache could not overtake or beat the Pulsar N250 in this drag race.
