Royal Alloy based in Britain has introduced two smart retro scooters for 2022
If swagger and practicality are your two top priorities, it doesn’t get any better than retro scooters for you. And here are two very retro yet feature-packed scooters from Britain-based company Royal Alloy that you should definitely check out.
Styling
UK-based Royal Alloy has unveiled the staggering TG 125 S and TG 300 S
As mentioned above, the TG 125 S and TG 300 S are retro scooters and bear designs inspired by the scooters sold in the 1960s.
Consequently, the design is flowing and comes in bright dual-tone liveries, which will certainly grab eyeballs in a crowd. Both scooters also come with blingy chrome inserts all around for added premium-ness. Split seats too are standard.
We particularly like the chunky blacked-out alloys on offer. These add a pinch of modern touch to the overall classic design.
Features
The feature-list comprises an all-LED headlight, a TFT instrument cluster, ABS, and USB charging
Now, the design may be retro, but there’s no shortage of features on either of these scooters. The list includes:
- TFT instrument cluster
- ABS
- USB port
- All-LED lighting
- Liquid-cooling
All this makes the two scooters quite premium and even better than many bikes in this segment.
Engine & Underpinnings
The retro touch even extends to split seats
Underneath, the Royal Alloy TG 125 and 300 S are both powered by Piaggio Vespa engines. So the 125cc TG features a belt-driven 125cc, single-cylinder engine putting out 13PS. Meanwhile, the TG 300 S uses a 278cc, single-cylinder motor which makes 22.5PS and 23Nm.
The scooters are suspended on dual shock absorbers at both ends
As for suspension, both scooters are sprung on dual shock absorbers at both ends and roll on 12-inch alloy wheels. The TG 300 S and TG 125 S tip the scales at 142kg and 148kg (unladen), respectively.
Price
The dual-tone paint schemes look retro and premium
Being premium scooters, Royal Alloy has a steep asking price for them. The smaller TG 125 S costs Rs 3.57 lakh in the UK and the top-spec TG 300 S retails at Rs 4.25 lakh, both in the UK. This isn’t something we should worry about, though, as Royal Alloy hasn’t really shown a lot of interest in our market.
