Will the newly introduced sporty Yezdi Adventure beat the Torque monster RE Himalayan in this epic drag race battle? Read on to find out
We don’t often see Adventure motorcycles doing top-speed runs, but Yezdi has set the bars high after introducing the Adventure in India. The Yezdi Adventure might not be the perfect Adventure bike in the market today, but it surely does get an enthusiastic engine derived from the Jawa Perak that produces an impressive amount of power and torque numbers on paper.
The Yezdi Adventure’s biggest rival, the Royal Enfield Himalayan, on the other hand, is not a rev-happy machine, but it does produce an impressive amount of torque from lower down the rpm range, which makes riding this motorcycle fun. The Himalayan might not have an impressive top speed, but it can surely reach triple-digit speeds faster than you would expect.
That said, watch as the Yezdi Adventure takes on its biggest rival, the Royal Enfield Himalayan in an exciting high-performance drag race video by Youtuber The UP46 Rider.
The Contender
The Yezdi Adventure uses the 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that does duty even on some other Yezdi bikes as well. The powertrain churns out 30.2 Ps of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 29.9 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm while paired to a six-speed gearbox.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan, on the other hand, is powered by a 411cc, single-cylinder, air-oil cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces about 24.31 Ps of peak power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4,000-4,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
