Mahindra will soon launch the new Bolero Campervan at a starting price of ₹15 lakh (estimated)
Spending holidays in a camper caravan is an experience on its own. This is a fairly popular and common form of holidaying in western countries, but in India, the trend is fairly new. Most of the Indians are not so familiar with caravans, more so because we never had enough offerings in the Indian market. However, with changing trends and a growing market, this is not a long-fetched dream anymore.
While we saw a number of custom workshops transform a number of pickups and SUVs being converted into practical and luxurious caravans, Mahindra is all set to become the first mainstream Indian automaker to offer a factory-spec luxury camper. The Indian SUV specialist recently joined hands with Campervan Factory Pvt. Ltd to launch budget-friendly luxury campers in India and here is everything that you should know.
With the assistance of IIT Madras Advanced Manufacturing Technology Department Centre(AMTDC) and International Centre for Clean Water (ICCW), Mahindra is all set to introduce an innovative campervan design in line with the international standards.
These campers will be based on the double-cab Bolero Camper Gold platform which is known for its performance, efficiency, ruggedness and reliability of Mahindra.
The front fascia too is expected to remain same as before
The caravan will offer a range of facilities like a sleeping area for four, a sitting and dining area for four, a restroom fitted with a bio-toilet, and a shower with smart water solutions. In addition to this, it also comes with a complete kitchen that gets a mini-fridge and microwave, while you will also get a complete multimedia experience, including television and other conveniences.
These caravans will be easy to operate so that tour operators can rent them out as self-drive campers. Ease of use will also offer better practicality, safety, and privacy.
The Bolero Caravan will be the first caravan to be officially sold by a reputed brand
Caravan Tourism has become a centre of attraction and to boost it even further, we saw a number of State Governments including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Odisha State Governments announcing various caravan policies to promote the Caravan industry.
