Prices start from as low as Rs 2 lakh and goes up to upwards of Rs 8 lakh
In recent years, scramblers have become quite popular in India and many manufacturers have sprung into action to cash this popularity.
Looking to get one for yourself? Lucky for you, here’s a list of the 5 most affordable scrambler motorcycles you can get your hands on in India.
Honda CB350RS
Here are the five most affordable scramblers in India and the list starts with the Honda CB350RS
Yes, we know the Honda CB350RS isn’t really a full-on scrambler motorcycle. However, with dual-purpose tires, a slim and ribbed seat, and an upright riding posture, the CB350RS can be considered a semi-scrambler, if not a proper scrambler.
Now this isn’t a full-blown scrambler but with dual-purpose tires and a ribbed seat, we’ll call it a semi-scrambler
With that out of the way, let’s come to the bike. Priced at Rs 2.01 lakh (ex-showroom), the Honda CB350RS makes 21.07PS and 30Nm from its 348cc engine. While these are the lowest in the lot, the CB350RS makes up for it in the features department as it packs all-LED lighting, traction control, and a slipper clutch, along with a well-laid out Digi-analog instrument cluster.
The bike will also get a new blue color soon. Read all about it here.
Royal Enfield Scram 411
The second most affordable scrambler you can buy in India right now is also the newest kid on the block.
Priced at an introductory Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom), the Royal Enfield Scram 411 is based in the company’s off-roader, the Himalayan. So it shares the same telescopic fork, monoshock, chassis, and most importantly, the 411cc engine (which puts out 24PS and 32Nm) with the Himalayan.
Next, the RE Scram 411. It is the second most affordable scrambler in India and is based on the popular Himalayan platform that’s already quite proven
However, to help it stand out from the off-roader, the Scram 411 misses out on a windshield, luggage carrier, jerry can mounts, and a high-set front fender, which makes it 5kg lighter than the Himalayan.

Yezdi Scrambler
In close contention to the Scram is the Yezdi Scrambler which is costs just a few more thousands than the RE
In very close contention to the Scram, we have its arch-rival, the Yezdi Scrambler. It retails at Rs 2.04 lakh (ex-showroom) and justifies the price with a fully digital instrument cluster, LED lights, slipper clutch, and switchable ABS modes.
Along with this, the Yezdi is powered by a 334cc, single-cylinder engine dishing out 29.1PS and 28.2Nm.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 250
For a little more money over the Yezdi, you can get the Husqvarna Svartpilen
Launched in 2020, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 was one of the first sub-400cc scramblers in India and it currently retails at Rs 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Svartpilen 250 is powered by the same 250cc, single-cylinder engine as the KTM 250 Duke, putting out 30PS and 24Nm, making it the most powerful scrambler you can buy in India under Rs 3 lakh. Along with this, the bike boasts a minimalistic yet unique design topped off by dual-purpose tires and a tall handlebar.
It packs a unique design, a punchy engine (most powerful scrambler under Rs 3 lakh), and premium components like WP suspension
Meanwhile, features like all-LED lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS along with high-quality USD forks and WP monoshock suspension complete the package.
Ducati Scrambler Icon Black
Finally, we come to the big boys and the Ducati Scrambler is the most affordable multi-cylinder scrambler over 500cc
Entry-level scramblers not cutting it for you? Then, you can opt for the most affordable Ducati in India, the Scrambler Icon Black, retailing at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
For the money, the Ducati Scrambler Icon promises you a proper scrambler experience, courtesy of its punchy 803cc L-twin engine dishing out 73PS and 67Nm, which is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the engine sits in a trellis frame that’s sprung on KYB USD forks and a monoshock.
KYB USD forks, cornering ABS, and a punchy 800cc motor are some of its highlights. Like these bikes? Then, swipe up to know more about them.
All this is topped off by a likable design, an extensive set of features, and electronics like cornering ABS which watch your back when attacking off-road terrain.
Out of all these bikes, my personal pick would be the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 followed by the Yezdi Scrambler. What would you take home?
