We have posted a couple of drag race videos where we have watched the newly launched Pulsar twins competing with its closest rivals. The Pulsar F250 and the N250 share the same engine and much other hardware including, the suspension setup and brakes. So naturally, they will have identical performance. But the Pulsar F250 features a semi fairing which gives it a slight aerodynamic advantage over its naked roadster sibling.
In this video, watch as the Pulsar F250 takes on the KTM RC 200 in a top-end performance drag race. Which will be the quicker motorcycle amongst the duo? We can assure you that you will be surprised by the result.

The Bajaj Pulsar F250 uses a 249.07 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC, two valves, Oil cooled Fuel-injected engine. The newly developed engine of the Pulsar F250 churns out about 24.5 PS of peak power at 8,750 rpm and 21.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
The KTM RC 200 used here may not be the new generation model but is the BS6 variant that generates the same amount of power and torque. The RC 200 BS6 model uses a 199.5 cc, Single Cylinder, 4 Valve, Liquid Cooled, FI, DOHC motor. The RC 200 produces about 25 PS of peak power at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of peak torque at 8000 rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.

Round 1
In the first drag race attempt, the RC 200 takes the lead right from the start. It manages to maintain a fair gap in between its rival. The Pulsar F250 struggled to catch the RC 200 till the end. The RC 200 was the clear winner at the end of the race.
Round 2
The riders swapped their motorcycle before the start of the race. We were surprised when we saw the Pulsar F250 take the lead. The Pulsar F250 rider has a perfect launch. The RC 200, however, managed to overtake the F250 mid-race and win the second race attempt.
Conclusion
The semi faired Pulsar F250 may not be an outright performer but it surely is one capable motorcycle that can touch 140 plus kph without breaking a sweat
The KTM RC 200 managed to win the drag race in both the race attempts.
The RC 200 has a better top-end performance compared to its rival. The Pulsar F250 impresses in the initial acceleration because it offers slightly more torque than its rival, but the RC 200 is the true king of top-end performance in this segment. But the Bajaj Pulsar F250 is more affordable amongst the two.
