The Contenders
Bajaj Pulsar N250 uses a BS6 compliant 249.07 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC, two valves, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The newly developed powertrain of the Pulsar N250 produces around 24.5 PS of peak power at 8,750 rpm and 21.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Bajaj Dominar 250 gets a 248.8cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also does duty on the KTM 250 Duke. The liquid-cooled engine produces about 27 PS of peak power at 8,500rpm and 23.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.
The KTM 200 uses a BS6 compliant 199.5cc, single-cylinder, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled, FI, DOHC unit that does duty on the RC 200. The unit pumps out about 25.83 PS of peak power at 10,000 rpm and 19.5 Nm of maximum torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine is also paired to a six-speed gearbox.
The only faired contender in this drag race, the KTM RC200, features a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The unit is paired to a 6-speed gearbox that produces about 25 PS of maximum power at 10,000 RPM and 19.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 RPM.

The Bajaj Dominar 250 takes the lead second time in a row, proving that it offers better initial acceleration than the Duke 200 and the RC 200. The KTM 200 Duke takes the second position. The RC 200 and the Pulsar N250 are in the third and fourth positions respectively. The KTM 200 Duke rider slipstreamed the Dominar 250 rider taking the first position mid-race. The fairing advantage gave the RC200 a chance to overtake the Dominar and secure the second spot.
The heavy windblast slowed the Duke rider, and the RC 200 managed to win the second round. The Pulsar N250 performance was a no match against its rivals in this drag race, and it once again was the last bike to cross the finish line.
