Looks like the J-series engine will soon make its way onto the ageing Bullet 350
Royal Enfield introduced its new J-series platform with the Meteor 350, which replaced the Thunderbirds. Then, in 2021, the new Classic 350 broke cover based on this platform.
If you haven’t guessed already, next in line for this update is the Royal Enfield Bullet 350. After expecting it for a while, the bike has finally been spied testing for the first time, bearing a few notable changes over the current model.
2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 – What’s New?
The updated Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has been spied testing for the first time
Like the new Classic 350, the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will look similar to its outgoing model and the test mule seen here backs this up.
However, we can clearly spot the Bullet 350 sporting a double-cradle chassis which will replace the single downtube frame of the current model. This new chassis will house the new 349cc J-series engine, expected to dish out 20.2PS and 27Nm, the same as the ‘21 Classic 350. This chassis and engine combination did wonders on the new Classic 350 and the same is expected for the Bullet 350 too.
It gets a handful of visual tweaks, most of them borrowed from the Classic 350
Apart from this, the new model will also pack some visual tweaks. For instance, the test mule bears a different headlight with a chrome nacelle, a round tail lamp, and chrome mirrors, all of which are again reminiscent of the Classic 350’s equipment.
We can also spot a chrome embellishment on the seemingly bigger instrument console, hinting that this could be the digi-analog unit from the Classic.
Like the design, the seat too looks updated here with plusher padding and a tan brown cover
Also, the seat gets a tan brown cover along with plusher padding. It still has a nice little kink, though, to provide proper support for the rider while offering a flat comfortable space for the pillion.
Courtesy of all this, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will finally get a much-needed update that would make it slightly more relevant in these modern times while retaining its popular old-school charm.
2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Expected Price
Apart from this, there are plenty of other updates that we can spot. Swipe up to check them out.
Currently, prices of the Bullet 350 start from Rs 1.65 lakh going up to Rs 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Expect the new model to cost around Rs 3,000 more than this, thanks to the updates it’ll bear.
