The Himalayan Scram 411 is a road-biased offering from Royal Enfield based on the Himalayan Adventure tourer.
After introducing the Classic 350 last year, Royal Enfield has launched their versatile offering, the Scram 411, at an introductory price of Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 shares the same underpinnings with the Himalayan adventure tourer. In this video, you can watch Youtuber Rolling Peace provide us with a walkaround video of the newly launched bike.
The Scram 411 rides on 19-inch wheels at the front, while its bigger sibling – the Himalayan uses bigger 21-inch wheels. The rear profile, however, retains the same 17-inch setup. The wire-spoke wheels are shod with dual-purpose tyres from Ceat. Due to the smaller wheel size, the Scram offers 200 mm of ground clearance, while the Himalayan gets 220 mm of ground clearance.
The Scram also features a new instrument cluster lifted straight from the Meteor 350
The RE Scram looks almost identical to the Himalayan, but it features a different headlamp design, new side panels near the fuel tank, a new single-piece seat, and a grab rail. It also misses out on the windscreen. The Scram also features a new instrument cluster lifted straight from the Meteor 350 that replaced the informative unit from the Himalayan. The Tripper navigation is available as an option with the motorcycle.
The side panels near the fuel tank with the Royal Enfield stickering on it is new and exclusive to the Scram
The Himalayan Scram is offered in seven colour options – Graphite Blue, Graphite Red, Graphite Yellow, Blazing Black, Skyline Blue, Silver Spirit, and White Flame.
It even uses the same 411cc, Long-stroke powertrain with the Himalayan as well
The Scram 411 uses the same 411cc, two-valve, SOHC air-cooled, Long stroke engine that also does duty on the Himalayan. This powertrain paired with a five-speed gearbox develops 24.3 bhp power and 32 Nm of peak torque.
The RE Scram shares the same braking setup with the Himalayan. It gets a disc brake on both ends and a non-switchable dual-channel ABS.
