The Austrian bike maker adds visual drama to the Duke 890 GP Edition with bespoke livery
KTM is one of the most renowned street-sports bike brands in the country with 890 Duke family being one of the most popular offerings in its international portfolio. To feed your sports hunger inside you, the brand has introduced one more member to the Duke 890 family.
Called the Duke 890 GP, this new bike features a number of Grand Prix-inspired visual cues as compared to its other iterations. Here’s everything you need to know about the 890 Duke GP.
Updated Design
The Duke 890 is one of the best selling bikes in the brand’s global portfolio
Talking about updates to the design, this new GP iteration will get a new orange and black MotoGP-inspired livery along with pillion seat cowl and orange wheels making it a lot more orange-ish than its sibling.
The bike also gets a full-colour TFT display similar to the other 890 Duke iterations and allows convenient navigation via different bike settings. With this being said, this new version of the bike not only demands a better road presence but also offers a more prominent sporty character.
The changes to the motorcycle are purely cosmetic and the mechanicals remains untouched.
No Change In Performance
KTM introduced the new Duke 890 GP with new body graphics and updated colour schemes
Just like its standard sibling, the KTM Duke 890 GP sports a chromium molybdenum frame with an aluminium subframe.
The GP edition gets the same 115 hp engine with the Duke 890
Mechanically there are no performance upgrades to the Duke 890 GP that makes it as capable as the standard bike. The 890 Duke GP gets the same LC8c parallel-twin motor that delivers 115 hp and 92 Nm of maximum torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with PASC slipper clutch.
Suspension duties are handled by an adjustable mono-shock at the rear and adjustable WP Apex USD forks at the front. The braking department is being handled by Brembo Style monobloc callipers with floating discs at both ends.

In addition to this, the bike also gets a comprehensive electronics package that includes cornering ABS with a Supermoto mode and lean angle-sensitive traction control. For those interested, it features three riding modes (Sport, Rain, and Street) with an option to add a fourth Track mode. The overseas price of the KTM 890 Duke R is around ₹10.4 lakhs.
