Hero has introduced the BS6 iteration of their popular 125cc offering, the Super Splendor in the country. The Hero Super Splendor rivals the Honda Shine BS6 and the newly introduced TVS Raider 125.
Here are 5 things you should know about the new 2022 Hero Super Splendor.

Hero has launched their popular 125cc offering the BS6 Hero Super Splendor in the country
- The BS6 compliant Super Splendor is available with five colour options – Glaze Black, Dusky Black, Nexus Blue, Heavy Grey, and CB Red. All the colour options feature identical graphics and matching colour options for the front fender.
- The motorcycle uses a 125cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that makes 10.73hp of peak power at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The powertrain also comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox instead of a 4-speed unit.
- The Hero Splendor now produces 0.41PS and 0.4Nm less than the BS4-compliant Super Splendor. But, the motorcycle now gets a reduced kerb weight of 122 kilograms which is almost 3 kilograms less than the BS4 model.
- The bike now underpins a new chassis and gets more suspension travel (15mm more at the front and 7.5mm more at the rear). The seat is longer by almost 45 mm and offers an impressive ground clearance of 180mm. The braking hardware consists of a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum. The bike features CBS. Some other highlights include a semi-digital instrument cluster, a USB charger, and an idle start-stop system.

- Hero has launched the BS6 Super Splendor in two variants – a drum brake variant at Rs 74,700 (ex-showroom) and a disc brake variant at Rs 78,600 (ex-showroom).
