Total War: Warhammer III has announced the newest addition to the upcoming game, the Chaos Undivided faction. In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about this faction and their unique gameplay elemants.
Total War: Warhammer III is the upcoming explosive finale to the highly popular Total Warhammer series. In this latest addition to the franchise, players will take the plunge into the realm of chaos, conquering their daemons or giving in to them. In this guide, we’ll run you through the newest announced faction, Chaos Undivided.
What Is Chaos Undivided In Total War: Warhammer 3
Chaos Undivided is the newest announced faction in Total War: Warhammer III. It takes the strengths of all the previously announced chaos armies and combines them, allowing for one faction to make use of the unique units available to each of the daemon lord’s factions.
The newest announced faction was a shock to fans excited for the game. Total War: Warhammer III previously included 7 playable factions at launch: Kislev, Cathay, Nurgle, Tzeentch, Khorne, Slaanesh, and the Ogre Kingdoms preorder dlc. Each faction has received a roster overview and play guide, and all of them have been fairly consistent with fan expectations. Chaos Undivided changed all that, and it did it with one incredibly unique feature.
Chaos Undivided allows you to create your own daemon prince. That’s right; the legendary lord in charge of the Chaos Undivided faction is your own bonafide daemon OC, with the option to name and customize this character as you see fit. For the rest of this article, we will be referring to the custom daemon lord leader as Jimothy for the sake of convenience.
Jimothy enters the world of the Warhammer III campaign map with a bulky figure and a pair of intimidating daemon wings. Which he definitely looks like a daemon prince, Jimothy is far from complete at the start of your campaign; Warhammer III gives you the option to fully customize Jimothy’s appearance as you progress through the game.
By raising shrines to the chaos gods, Jimothy can earn their favor. Favor is a special currency used to buy customization options; Want a belly full of teeth? Nurgle’s favor can buy you that. Want a big ol’ bird beak? Tzeentch has got you covered. Each and every customization option gives your hero a powerful effect in combat, allowing you to customize the perfect war machine to fight your battles with.
While the whole point of Chaos Undivided is to remain, well, undivided, the gods are fickle and jealous beings who will fight for your devotion endlessly. Committing Jimothy’s customizable corruption too far in any one direction will tint his skin in the color of that chosen god and make earning favor and unlocking their upgrades easier, but at the cost of accessibility to the other three gods. You can choose to play Jimothy either as a perfect pendulum of devotion, maintaining the balance between his gods as he rampages across the mortal world, or fully devote yourself to one and become their ultimate living champion.
Chaos Undivided will be available to all players on release, with no pre-order or dlc purchase required. As an added feature, Jimothy’s fully customized body will be able to play in multiplayer, allowing you to show off your unique demon lord to other players before you crush their skulls.
That’s everything you need to know about the Chaos Undivided faction coming with the Total War: Warhammer III release. Be sure to check out our other Game Guides to keep ahead on game news and improve your plays.
