- Royal Enfield’s upcoming cruiser uses different chassis that RE has developed to support the heavier engine. The bike is comparatively longer and sits lower than the Interceptor.
- The Super Meteor 650cc cruiser will get many new features never seen before on a Royal Enfield motorcycle. For instance, the Super Meteor 650 will feature upside-down forks at the front, while the rear profile will feature broad 150 section tyres.
- The Super Meteor cruiser takes most of its styling cues from the Meteor 350. Besides adopting the retro styling, it features a rear swept handlebar and forward-set footpegs. Which definitely will result in relaxed riding ergonomics.
- The Super Meteor 650 will most likely share the same twin-pod instrument cluster from the Meteor 450. It will get tripper navigation as standard. There is a high chance that RE will provide traction control and a dual-channel ABS as standard with the motorcycle. The braking duties of the cruiser will be taken care of by a single disc brake unit at the front and rear.
- Powering the Super Meteor 650 is the same 648cc air and oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that powers the 650 twins currently. This engine produces about 47 hp of peak power and 52 Nm of peak torque. The unit is paired to a 6-speed gearbox accompanied by a slipper clutch.
- Besides the Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield will also introduce a Bobber variant of the cruiser later. RE showcased the SG650 Bobber concept at the 2021 EICMA Motorcycle show already.
