The KTM RC 390 BS-III variant was known for its raw power delivery and instant acceleration. The BS-VI variant is a much more refined engine and a less aggressive machine than its predecessor. The Contenders
The KTM RC 390 BS6 variant uses a 373.3 cc, Single Cylinder, 4 Valve, Liquid Cooled, FI, DOHC engine. This unit pumps out about 43.5 PS of peak power at 9,000 rpm and 36 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox, and it gets a slipper clutch as standard. The RC 390 has a kerb weight of 166 kilograms.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 uses a 296 cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, Parallel Twin engine that produces 39 PS of peak power at 11,000 rpm and 26.1 Nm of peak torque at 10, 000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox accompanied by a slipper clutch. The Ninja 300 has a kerb weight of 179 kilograms.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 generates less power and torque and weighs almost 13 kilograms more than the RC390. But it gets an additional cylinder which could change the entire game.

The RC 390 once again leaves the Ninja 300 behind and takes the first position
In the first drag race attempt, the RC 390 rider launches his motorcycle without wasting any time and stays ahead of the Ninja 300 towards the start of the race. But the Ninja 300, like we already mentioned, offers an impressive mid-range, and it catches up with the RC quickly and even manages to overtake the motorcycle.
The Ninja 300, with its impressive top-end performance, manages to beat the RC 390 in the first drag race attempt.
Round 2
The riders decide to swap their motorcycles before the second race attempt. During the second race attempt, the KTM RC 390 rider beat the Ninja 300 with its initial burst of speed. The Ninja 300, however, catches up soon and overtakes the RC 390, and managed to reach a speedo indicated top speed of 176 kmph mark. In the end, the Ninja 300 was once again the clear winner of the race.
