Despite the camflouge, you can easily spot the Ranger inspired front-end, more in sync with designs from Ford’s global portfolio
Ford has just teased its new generation Ford Everest (Endeavour) via an official video. The brand globally teased the prototype of Endeavour wearing the mountain peak camouflage showing off its comfort on city roads and capabilities on rough terrains.
What’s New on the 2022 Ford Evendeavour
The new Ford Everest/Endeavour is expected to be introduced in the Indian market via the CBU route
The Ford Everest (Endeavour) boasts an impressive front fascia that falls in line with the brand’s design language and somewhat resembles the Ford Ranger. The front gets a new 3D grille with a vertical slat and the Ford branding in the centre. The C-shaped LED headlamps along with a bulkier bumper with a coloured bash plate give it a bold look.
The SUV retains its old-school boxy design that is dominated by large alloy wheels
The side profile is largely dominated by upright pillars, alloy wheels, roof rails, and a raked windshield. The use of chrome highlights on the C-Pillar further makes it look premium and appealing. On the back it gets LED tail lamps which could be connected with an LED strip in between, however, it’s just speculation as the car was heavily camouflaged.
Expect a new feature packed cabin
The headlights may remind you of the Ford Ranger
The Interior of the Ford Everest (Endeavour) will see a considerable amount of updates. For starters, the Endeavour will get a central 12-inch portrait screen that comes with features like Sync4, and the latest smartphone connectivity. Apart from this, features like dual-zone climate control, a digital instrument console, connected car tech features, and a large panoramic sunroof too will be on offer. The fit and finish levels of the car are something going to be impressive as we expect from the brand. We also expect Ford to offer advanced features like ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), 360-degree camera, rear and front parking sensors, etc.
What’s under the Hood?
In the global markets, the new Ford Everest (Endeavour) is expected to come with 2.0L, 4-cylinder twin-turbo EcoBlue diesel churning out a maximum power of 210 bhp and 500 Nm of net torque. The SUV also gets a second, new 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine that puts out 254 bhp of maximum power output and 600 Nm of peak torque. However, if launched in India, the SUV is expected to get a 2.0L single-turbo diesel engine that will put out a power output of 168bh and torque of 420 Nm. All the engine variants are expected to be mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Will the all new Endeavour come to India
We also notice a number of changes at the rear such as new LED tailights
While the American carmaker teased the Ford Everest (Endeavour) globally, its launch in India is yet to be confirmed. If the brand decides to offer this SUV in the Indian market, then it’ll be brought home via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route, thus making it a bit pricey when compared to its rivals in the country.
