We also have plans to export the Ola S1 Pro and the Bajaj Chetak soon.

Hello guys, here is an update from me. We successfully exported Ather 450X to Germany. Initially, we thought it will be a hard process, but RTO Pune handled the process very well and the documentation done by them was quick. It took around a month to reach a vehicle to Germany. Here are some photos from India and Germany.
My client is an automotive parts manufacturer. They need these vehicles for R & D. However I don’t know the exact work they are going to do on Ather.
For export, you need to register yourself on the port through the ICEGATE website. For that, you will need an import-export license as well. On ICEGATE, you will have to register your bank details as well as AD code and some other documents. IE licence can be easily procured by anyone.
To export the scooter, you have to purchase or transfer the scooter to the IE license holders’ names. Later you will need to cancel the registration of the vehicle and get NOC to export the vehicle from RTO.
Documents I submitted for the same are:
- Letter from a client asking for the particular scooter from you.
- Letter from a shipping company mentioning that they are going to ship this scooter for you.
- Your company documents: Partnership deed/shop act etc.
- Aadhar and pan of an authorised person of your company
- Affidavit mentioning why are you exporting the vehicle.
- Original RC
- Pencil print of a chassis Number.
Later when you are exporting the Electric Vehicle, you will have to give a self-signed letter mentioning that the scooter is non-hazardous.
The shipping company will guide you through the necessary documents and procedures.
And yes, as of now I have exported Ather. Soon exporting Bajaj Chetak. And Ola S1 pro is planned, depending upon its availability.
