Only 100 examples will be made.
2023 is a very special year for Le Mans, as the historic endurance race celebrates 100 years since the first running in 1923, and several automakers are paying tribute to the endurance race, including Alpine, which has revealed the A110 R Le Mans limited series.
This isn't just an opportunistic cash grab. The French brand has a long history with the 24-hour race, and in 1978, the company took first place with the Renault Alpine A442B. The special edition is based on the hardcore A110 R and, as such, comes equipped with carbon fiber wheels, a carbon fiber wing, and other lightweight bits and pieces.
The Le Mans model benefits from a Road & Track chock which, says Alpine, lowers and stiffens the vehicle by 5%. Distinguishable by its white and blue “24 Heures du Mans” livery, the special edition wears a unique color scheme comprising blue and white pinstripes on the hood.

There's also blue detailing on the wheels and a shark fin on the rear window – a nod to the Alpine A480 that competed in the event.
The official 24 Hours of Le Mans signature can be found in several places, including the front spoilers, side sills, and even the headrests of the Sabelt Track bucket seats. A classy touch can be found on the sun visor, where the layout of Circuit de la Sarthe has been laser-engraved.
Alpine will also deliver every example of the special edition with a numbered plate with the Le Mans signature that signifies this isn't just any A110. With just 100 examples destined for production, interested buyers are likely clamoring over each other for the opportunity to own one. It's not cheap, though. At €140,000 (approximately $150,000), it's nearly as pricey as the superb Cayman GT4 RS.

Then again, purchasing the A110 R Le Mans gives you access to the 2024 Alpine Elf Endurance Team facilities, allowing owners to take a lap of the track in their newly-acquired car on the morning of the race. That's not something many people will get to experience in their lifetime.
The vehicle was revealed in a rather fun way, with German racing driver Sophia Floersch driving the limited edition around the Le Lans track. She was joined by 100 Alpine owners, making for a truly special occasion. As mentioned, performance remains unchanged from the regular A110 R, so the Le Mans version still rockets to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds before reaching its top speed of 177 mph.
Alpine has released several A110 special editions in recent months, including the rally-inspired San Remo 73 and the poorly-timed F1-inspired A110 R Fernando Alonso. The French brand hopes to enter the American market by 2028 with two premium electric vehicles.
