The 33-year-old Finnish driver is one of the 275 owners.
Valtteri Bottas has a penchant for limited-edition cars. Just a few months after taking delivery of an Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, making him one of the 500 owners high-performance sedan, the Formula 1 driver picked up the key to his Mercedes-AMG One.
With only 275 examples produced, the 33-year-old Finn couldn't contain his excitement, taking to Instagram to say that the hypercar is “worth the wait.”
Not surprising as apart from being rare, the Mercedes-AMG One is a road-legal hypercar fitted with a real F1 engine. Specifically, the vehicle has an F1-derived 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid V6 engine with 1,048 horsepower.

The power unit is paired with four electric motors on each wheel, enabling it to run on the road with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
On the track, the Mercedes-AMG One impresses as well. So much so that the German hypercar snatched the fastest lap record from the Manthey Racing Porsche 911 GT2 RS at the Nurburgring, finishing the shorter course track in 6:30.705. That is a blistering eight-second gap over the previous record holder.
This is not the first time Bottas' name has been affiliated with Mercedes. Before driving for the Alfa Romeo F1 Team, Bottas drove for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team alongside seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.

He registered 10 race wins and was integral to Mercedes' eight consecutive constructors' title run, which started in 2014.
While Bottas is winning off-track with his car collection, the driver struggles to score points on-track. After nine rounds in the 2023 F1 season, Bottas only has five points in the standings. His best finish was in the opening round in Bahrain, where he finished in P8, followed by a P10 finish at the Canadian Grand Prix.
The next stop is Silverstone, where we hope he arrives in his shiny blue Mercedes-AMG One.
