The “4C Designer's Cut” program will see a one-of-one model produced.
Alfa Romeo has just announced a special new project to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car titled the “4C Designer's Cut.” The project is being developed in collaboration with the brand's Heritage Department and designer Alessandro Maccolini, the man responsible for the sports car's original (jaw-dropping) styling, and will see the creation of a special one-off model inspired by three aesthetic themes created by the team and picked with the help of the Alfa Romeo community.
Unfortunately for all those American 4C lovers, the model won't be coming to the US. The 4C was discontinued here in 2018, and since then has left a hole in the mid-engined sports car market that has only been filled with the Porsche 718 and the C8 Corvette.

“To make this one-off based on the 4C, I have identified three aesthetic features to take inspiration from,” Maccolini explains. “I already have an idea of what I want to develop, but I also want to draw on the brand’s fans. Over the years I had some first-hand experience with Alfa Romeo clubs and I had the opportunity to see many versions of the 4C, with various types of paint jobs and some finely tuned configurations. That’s why I would like to get the fans involved in this project as well and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 4C together in a truly special one-off.”
The three themes created are called the Tributo, Corsa, and Leggenda. All three take inspiration from Alfa Romeo’s of old, but each one also brings with it fresh and updated styling that highlights the 4C's unique characteristics.

Tributo is the traditional concept, going with an iconic red synonymous with the Alfa Romeo brand. It's meant to be the company's interpretation of “sporty” and is intended to represent the sports car as we have come to understand it. The Corsa look takes a more subdued approach with a matte gray livery meant to highlight the vehicle's muscular and performance nature. Finally, the Leggenda is the most intimate look, as it combines pastel colors of the past with beautiful blue and white alloy rims.
This project will be another installment of Stellantis' Reloaded by Creators program that has seen models like Abarth Classiche's 1000 SP go from concept to highly limited production car. We imagine whatever theme gets chosen, it'll look spectacular, and we only hope it inspires a small production run.
Even if that's not the case, at least we can look forward to another Alfa Romeo supercar coming next month. The limited-run send-off for combustion hasn't even been revealed and is already sold out, but will likely hark back to the most iconic classic Alfas.
