The recently launched Alfa Romeo Tonale is at the receiving end of plenty of attention, as it's a great-looking car with premium features. How many seats does it have, though?
The recently launched Alfa Romeo Tonale is a compact crossover SUV competing with the likes of the Audi Q3 and BMW X1. This stylish Italian crossover features seating for five passengers across two rows.
Specifically, the Alfa Romeo Tonale is equipped with standard seating for two in the first row and three in the second row. The front row contains the driver’s seat and front passenger seat. The second-row seating consists of a 60/40 split folding rear bench seat with three positions for passengers.
Such a looker! This Tonale looks gorgeous in red.
Is it comfortable?
Up front, it’s quite comfortable, but second-row passengers have reported feeling a little cramped, especially when the centre console is raised, which splits the rear bench in two. You won’t be able to comfortably seat an adult between the two outer rear seats if you fold the centre console flat.
It’s also relatively dark inside the cabin, but older kids probably won’t mind too much.
The Alfa Romeo Tonale has ample boot space for all your clobber.
On the plus side, the boot is quite large, with a very impressive 500 litres on offer (local mild-hybrid models).
The second-row bench allows the rear seats to fold down to accommodate extra cargo when needed.
Is it good for new drivers?
