According to sales charts, SUVs rule the roost. Their versatility makes up for their lack of on-track ability but Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin now all have their own potent high-riding weapons that will inadvertently be stacked up against each other. So here are those Super SUV statistics then.

Yes, technically Ferrari doesn’t consider their novel Purosangue (Italian for thoroughbred) to be an SUV but based on the anatomy of one, it comes fairly close. This means that for the first time in each manufacturer’s history, they have comparable four-door and high-riding models to stack up against each other.
Super SUV | Powertrain | Power | Torque | Top Speed | Curb Weight | Selling price | 0-100 km/h |
Ferrari Purosangue | 6,5-litre naturally aspirated V12 | 533 kW | 716 N.m | 310 km/h+ | 2 033 kg | $400 000 | 3,3 seconds |
Lamborghini Urus Performante | 4,0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 | 490 kW | 850 N.m | 306 km/h | 2 150 kg | $260 000 | 3,3 seconds |
Aston Martin DBX707 | 4,0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 | 520 kW | 900 N.m | 310 km/h | 2 245 kg | $239 086 | 3,3 seconds |
Some alarming numbers are listed above. The price of the Purosangue is as ludicrous as the 300 km/h+ top speed of all three and their undeniable neck-snapping all-wheel drive abilities off of the line. Each of these SUVs caters to each brand’s clientele in a slightly different manner though. The Urus Perfromante and DBX707 serve as volume products in their product portfolios. The Urus for example managed to achieve a whopping 20 000 unit sales since its inception, helping the Italian automaker achieve its best-ever sales year.

Down the road in Maranello, Ferrari will do things differently with their Purosangue Super SUV. The model will only account for a total of 20% of annual sales which roughly translates to 2 000+ units per year. This, in essence, accounts for its staggering asking price since the automaker wants to retain exclusivity within its product ranks. Regardless, order books have been filled at an alarming rate and the automaker is reportedly no longer accepting deposits.

We can imagine that in the coming months all three will be stacked up against each other in the metal, whether it be on a deserted airstrip or on the Nordschliefe. What remains certain is that a new chapter has dawned on the automotive world.
