Only the East course is still out of commission, the rest of the tracks are open and all classes are in session.

After massive monsoonal flooding that wiped out roads across the American Southwest, including roads in Death Valley and many routes up into the Easter Sierra Nevada, the tracks at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada, are largely back in business.
Despite the massive mud and debris flows, only two classes were canceled as a result of the muck.
“We had two Corvette classes that were scheduled during that time (Sunday and Monday) that we had to cancel,” said Todd Crutcher, the facility’s director of marketing. “Due to the hard work of our employees and DoubleM Construction, we were able to get the facility, West Track, North Track, and Charleston Peak up and running for the Tuesday events.”
The only section of track still underwater and closed was the (very fun, when dry) East Course.
“The East track was affected the worst in several locations, but The Bowl did its job as the retention basin, catching a large portion of water.”
The Bowl is a very fun section of track that could easily have been named the Carousel, with its rounded-off, on-camber banking that made it a joy for anyone who’s been lucky enough to drive through it.
The water has subsided and classes are back in session. Don’t be late!

The flooding also affected several buildings on the grounds.
“We had a few homes and over 50 garages affected from the flood,” said Crutcher. “Our team and club members have been working hard to clean each garage bay to their original pristine condition.”
As for when things might get back to normal, it seems like they already have, plus or minus a few sections of track and a lot of cleaning up.
“Because we just completed our new state-of-the-art 3.24-mile racetrack named Charleston Peak, we were able to shift events that were on the East track to CP, so no classes are needing to be canceled,” Crutcher said. “East track should be back up and running within the next week after the Bowl gets drained. As for the rest of the damage, it will be months before everything is fixed.”
In case you haven’t heard of it, Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch (or Motor Resort and Country Club, depending on what section of the website you read) has over nine miles of track and offers everything from its C8 Corvette Driving School to SCCA licensing and private instruction. You can even build your own boy racer condo right at trackside, similar to deals at The Thermal Club and elsewhere. But if you do build, maybe store all your gear up off the ground by about two feet, though.
