Checked the Maruti Grand Vitara Alpha, MT, Mild hybrid at Nexa Rajarhat.
The guys in the showroom were well versed about the car & they were courteous.

I am sharing pictorial details of what I could make out in half an hour.
From outside the car looks good. I found it better looking than the sharper Hyryder:

The spare wheel gets a steel rim but its not a space saver:
Front and rear door pads get dual tone color scheme with bottle holders. The power window switch consoles are finished in piano black color:

Adequate leg space for me, I am 5 feet 9 inches and the driver’s seat is adjusted to my driving position:
Headroom for BhPian Arghyaheart. He is 6 feet tall. It’s a just fit! Someone taller than him might find the headroom to be inadequate:

The hand rest is perfectly placed, one can rest his hand while changing the gears. This car is ergonomically sorted:
Front swats look premium an comfortable:
Glove box is not a cooled one, no light is given, plus it’s small:
Adequate boot space, unless you carry a lot of luggage for your trip:

The linen used while the sunroof is closed is thin. When the weather outside will be hot & sunny, I wonder how much this linen cover will be useful to absorb the heat! I have seen temperature level crossing 45 degree C in UP or RJ during summers:
Wheel well gets good cladding:
Ground clearance looks okay, but if driven carelessly on off road trails, one need to be careful to not damage the silencer. Looked like it’s the most vulnerably placed part in the underbelly:
Front gets a good under-body protection. The sump is well protected:
Rear tow hook given. Few cars in today’s date do not have it:
Approach and departure angle looks good for normal use. Even with an AWD this car should not be taken to hardcore offroad trails. The break-over angle will be inadequate, if not the AWD variants get more GC than the 2wd variants:

Shark fin antenna given. This car gets a ribbed roof for better structural rigidity:
Bonnet gets insulation:
Engine bay has a lot of space. It will be easy to work on. The air-filter box is placed higher, the air intake pipe is placed at good height too. So water wading wont be a problem. It should be able to wade water till the water reaches the height of it’s front number plate.
Good to see the air filter box getting those old school clips to open it. They are easy to open & clean the air filter.
The radiator and AC condenser are placed well behind the front bumper. So on minor accidents like hitting a dog or rear ending a car in bumper to bumper traffic should keep the components safe.
Overall I liked the car, will rate it 7/10. The build quality I felt is just okay. Not much to complaint about it, but nothing to brag about it either! Duster, Ecosport or Compass owners will find it on the flimsier side!
Will I consider this car in future? Will decide after I get a test drive, specially the AWD one. Till now I found nothing to reject it. It’s good.
