Citroen recently announced the global unveiling of its latest 3-row SUV based on the Citroen C3 hatchback. This upcoming French SUV will rival the likes of C-Segment SUVs such as Hyundai Creta in India.
Launch: According to Citroen India, the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross SUV has been scheduled to be unveiled in India on April 27. However, we are not sure if the French automaker will reveal the prices on the same day.
Variants: This upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross SUV will be made available in both 5-seater and 7-seater variants. That being said, Citroen is yet to reveal details regarding the trim levels it will offer in the upcoming SUV.
Interior: The upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross SUV will come with a different and more premium-looking dashboard layout. On top of that, the C3 Aircross will also come with additional features over the C3 hatchback.
Engine: In terms of powertrain, the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross SUV is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that powers the Citroen C3 hatchback.
Transmission: Though Citroen C3 Aircross uses the same powertrain as the C3 hatchback, we expect the French carmaker to have reworked the gear ratios to suit the additional weight of the 3-row configuration.
That being said, gearbox options on the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross is likely to include the tried-and-tested 6-speed manual transmission and a new 6-speed torque converter gearbox. The latter is expected to make its debut in the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross.
Rivals: When launched, the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross will compete against C-segment SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor in India.
