Here's something you don't see every day.
A drag strip is a safe place for many speed seekers to get their kicks in a legal setting, far away from potential dangers, other motorists, and dithering delivery drivers – unless you're the guy in the video below.
Originally posted to Reddit, an onboard camera captured some rather troubling video footage. At a track in Clarksville, Tennessee, the driver rockets off the line in a mighty V8 rumble, quickly traveling in excess of 90 mph. The vehicle decelerates to a safer speed as they pass the finish line.
In the right corner, you can see an Amazon-branded Ram ProMaster turn onto the track, the driver seemingly unaware of the dangerous situation he's created.

The original poster described the event along with the video, noting, “from the inside of a friend's […] car at a local track of ours in Clarksville, TN. Amazon [driver] drove around everyone in line at the gate and ends up in the shut-down area in the middle of a pass. Luckily, he was about to get stopped in time.”
According to the post, newly developed homes can be found on the other side of the track. “That's where we think he was trying to get. But how […] do you lack that much self-awareness,” added the OP.
Thankfully, thanks to the alert driver, no one was injured in this bizarre turn of events. Watch closely, and you can even see him reach for the horn, which, amusingly, does not feature on the drag car in question.

Upon noticing the dawdling Amazon van, the driver hits the brakes even harder, and a chirp can be heard from the tires as the speeding dragster comes to a stop. We would hate to be the Amazon driver in this situation, as we're guessing event organizers didn't let this act of negligence fall by the wayside.
Perhaps the relatively small glasshouse of the ProMaster didn't provide the driver with sufficient visibility when navigating the drag strip in search of his destination. That shouldn't be a problem with the Rivian-built EDV, an electric commercial vehicle with a large glasshouse and plenty of clever onboard tech.
Jokes aside, it's wild how the driver didn't notice the lights and the speeding cars nearby. We're just thankful nothing bad happened, as drag race crashes can be pretty brutal.
