If you want it, it's currently being auctioned off.
Replica cars can be amazing, with great examples being flattering love letters to the actual models they're trying to imitate. One example would be the gorgeous-looking McLaren F1 replica based on a Porsche Boxster.
We found another interesting replica – a Pontiac Fiero trying to pass off as a Ferrari F50. It's listed on Cars and Bids with a current high bid of $13,769, far from the F50's unattainable price tag when bought from an auction.
The listing shows that the replica has had some extensive bodywork. Its chassis was widened and stretched to fit the larger F50-inspired fiberglass body kit. Outside, the front fascia mimics the real deal, but the bits below its front corner intakes look too bulbous.

Viewed from the side, you can see that it rides significantly higher compared to the real Ferrari. The side intakes just before the rear tires are too small, while the rear end appears shorter than the real thing. It doesn't house the Italian stallion's V12; the replica retains the original but rebuilt 2.8-liter V6 at the front.
The replica also gets a yellow paint job as a nod to the rare F50s, with only 31 out of 349 receiving a similar color called Giallo Fly. It wears a set of 17-inch Momo wheels.
The Fiero's interior was also altered to mirror the blocky styling of the original F50. It gets a complete set of emblems in the right places and imitates the two-tone colorway of the real Ferrari model.

However, the Fiero bits bleed through the longer you stare at the cabin. For instance, the shifter in the replica is for a three-speed automatic slushbox instead of the famous gated manual six-speed stick the F50 is known for.
While it may not be a perfect replica of an F50, the work and effort put into this creation can still be appreciated by many. It is reminiscent of the level of dedication (or perhaps obsession) once seen in that Kia Spectra to Ford Mustang conversion from Pakistan. But what do you think?
