The event will take place at the prestigious Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit which has already been abuzz with international and local events over the past few months. If all goes according to plan, this year will mark a 5 year evolution of the festival, which is one of the largest automotive events on the local calendar. As with previous years, the 2022 edition of the Festival of Motoring in Johannesburg will build on past successes with a focus on innovation, on-track activity and world-class entertainment.

The event is set to boast 20 automotive brands and 150 exhibitors with some petrol powered action including the FOM Speed Challenge Kyalami which is a brand new addition to the event. The challenge will have competitors competing in a time attack challenge on the Circuit with prizes being distributed to podium finishers in the various categories. For those that prefer two wheels as opposed to four, the 2022 edition of the Festival of Motoring in Johannesburg will host an official round of the SunBet ZX10 Masters Cup that has competitors racing on standard Kawasaki ZX10R motorcycles and Bridgestone tyres.
There will also be performance and supercar displays and on-track demo’s while the South African National Rally Championship will host some of their own demo’s too. Off-road and 4×4 will feature once again with the Dunlop Grand Trek 4×4 Village and off road demo’s for manufacturers to showcase all-terrain driving of their own vehicles.
Throughout the weekend, a food market and hospitality options will allow visitors to bring their families along while a Gaming Arcade and VR Room should keep the youngsters satisfied throughout the day.
